Okay.....

Remember the water guardian? Well, I had lost him when my harddrive went to shit, but last year at the same time that I was working on this, I managed to improve at school and started the fire guardian. Many may not like this, due to his veiny-stereotype -big-bulky-fire look. Honestly I agree with my buddy :iconthe-grimm-reeper: When it comes to fire dragons they should be fluid, and light. But ...this is just what happened.

At school this doesnt look nearly as smoky, and that's the consequence of not color correcting the monitors. how it looks at home I'm not sure so forgive me.

I'm still playing with horn and belly color. they were originally black, but I found this much harder to add depth to. Anyone wanting me to push and keep trying with black, let me know. If not, then the milky tan color is there to stay, though I'm not sure if I like it myself.

i wish i cud draw dragons like u ^^, or even draw in the first place coz atm ive got no inspiration and always depressed :(

Aww. :hug: all it takes is practice. ;-) And honestly I don't get inspiration really..I just doodle, and color what I doodle. If you can see, this started off as nothing but a sketch. Hopefully one day this century, I'll make a tutorial on how to bring your sketches in and color in depth like I've done a little bit here. But just keep drawing in the meantime, and look at refs. it helps a lot. ;-)

np ^^, i wish i cud doodle or draw but theres so much suff goin on in my head with thoughts of self harm and killin myself so ive got no chance until i find someway to feel better :(

Very, very impressive... I think the tan stomach scales look nice, but perhaps black horns? I know what I've done in the past when I coulden't decide what color to make something, I've made multiple "cheep" versions (Versions that took arround 20 minutes to color, not to be posted, just as a what if scenario) in photoshop. It helps me in two ways, when I was working on the Ara referance sheet, He changed colors about four times, and the fith time I decided to just have him be the lightesh blue color. (Because I was tired of makeing the color layers partly, but on the other hand it was because I liked the way it looked.)
*cough* ah hem, any way, great work, can't wait till it's finished.

there's no harm of trying to just scribble out what you feel. Even if it comes out a garbled mess, it also helps you practice. Don't try to live up to anyone's expectations but your own, and make sure your goals are reasonable and reachable. :hug:
